About Apartma pod Macesnom – “Apartment under the Larch Tree”

Apartma pod Macesnom literally translates to “Apartment under the Larch Tree” a name rooted in tradition and nature. In Slovenian, “macesen” refers to the larch tree, a resilient and majestic alpine conifer known for its golden autumn foliage and wood that weathers beautifully over time. Much like the larch, our apartment is designed to offer timeless comfort nestled within the tranquil embrace of the Slovenian Alps.

Our Story

We are Filipo and Valerija, locals in this area. We hiked every mountain, visited every lake, and visited all of the hidden gems of Gorenjska. We love our country and our region, for it is clean, beautiful, and it relaxes your whole body.

During the years we saw the interest in our region rise, however many visitors do not get to experience Slovenia like us locals. This is why we decided to make a change in our lives, we opened the doors to our apartment, which we built and designed ourselves. Our goal was to make sure that everybody feels like home when visiting our part of the world.

Imagine taking your apartment with you on your trip, thats what we want to offer you. Fresh smell of coffee in the morning, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern living room with a reading area, private parking with local fruits across the street, a bathtub, and even in rainy weather your kids will have fun as there is a toy area in the apartment.
